Legionnaires' Diseaseis a deadly form of pneumonia caused by the Legionella bacteria, and it really affects a certain percentage of our population, those over 50 years old, smokers, immunocompromised people, transplant patients, cancer patients. So, if you think about the population that was really affected by COVID-19, it's a very similar profile of people. You get Legionnaires' disease by, first, coming in contact with a source of Legionella bacteria. The second thing that needs to happen is you get it into your lungs in such a way, or you inhale water droplets, or you get it in your body, and it gets into the lungs. And then, three, you have to be a susceptible person. So, like we just talked about, you have to be immunocompromised in some way, so it's not like other diseases where it's surface or person to person. It really is from the environment. Legionnaires' disease is on the rise. It comes from the Legionella bacteria, and it is treatable and preventable if identified early enough.
