HydroTreat™ Disinfection Cart
IWC’s significant advancement in scalable premise plumbing water treatment technology.

HydroTreat™ Disinfection Cart
Our patent-pending HydroTreat™ supplemental disinfection Cart (HDC) is a rapid, portable temporary water disinfection solution for emergencies and planned contingencies. Designed for easy integration, the system provides rapid, effective on-demand supplemental disinfection without permanent modifications to existing water systems, promoting reliable water quality when it matters most.
How It Works
Using advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), this system eliminates pathogens and contaminants on demand. The disinfection cart system continuously maintains a low, steady concentration of HydroTreat™ in the water supply over an extended period, typically 60 days. This method ensures that the water system remains at a significantly lower risk from Legionella bacteria and other pathogens without relying on high-dose chlorine treatments.
Benefits
- Sustained Disinfection: Promotes a continuous prevention of Legionella growth during the treatment period.
- Biofilm removal: recent laboratory data has demonstrated that HydroTreat™ not only kills waterborne pathogens, but removes biofilm from a variety of surfaces.
- No System Shock: There’s no sudden, intense chemical spike, which means less risk of damaging equipment and infrastructure and no water system shutdown required.
- Cost-Effective: By reducing the need for frequent treatments and repairs, the 60-day cart can be more cost-effective in the long run.

Remediation vs. HydroTreat™ Disinfection Cart
When it comes to water disinfection, two methods can be used: Remediation and the HydroTreat™ Disinfection Cart (HDC). While both aim to eliminate harmful pathogens, the HDC doesn’t replace acute hyperchlorination, especially in cases with high pathogen concentrations over large areas. The HDC is ideal for managing lower concentrations of pathogens, whether local or widespread. Ultimately, IWC specialists will evaluate the situation and recommend the most effective solution.
